Cattelan Italia: Design Home Furniture
Cattelan Italia is a design home furniture brand that was established in 1979 from an idea by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, initially manufacturing “marble” elements such as coffee tables, focusing on the export market. Immediately, the company achieved ambitious results in the United States, Europe, and the Far East.
In 1989, to meet market demand, the collection expanded to include a wider range of dining tables, chairs, shelving, and other complementary furniture pieces that combine materials such as wood, glass, leather, and metal.
Thanks to collaborations with architects and designers such as Yoshino, Plazzogna, De Longhi, Nanni, Studio Cà Nova, Gruppo grafite, Shito, Jackson, Lucatello, etc., the company consolidated the tireless ambitions of Giorgio Cattelan, and some of its products achieved international recognition at various furniture fairs. In particular, the “Bella” chair received an award for its design and functionality at the “NEO CON” in Chicago.
Over the years, with the entry of the children into the company, there was a natural explosion in turnover, positioning it as one of the largest Italian firms in the furniture sector.
In 2007, Cattelan Italia presented a new and ambitious project, featuring a collection of glamour showcased for the first time at “Abitare il Tempo” in Verona in September 2007. The name given to this new project is “NOIR,” and it had its first official presentation during the International Furniture Fair in Milan in April 2008.
Currently, Cattelan Italia’s product catalog is extensive and includes tables, consoles, seating, desks, sideboards, shelves, small tables, TV carts, accessories, mirrors, lamps, and beds.
Today, Cattelan Italia proudly showcases its products in over 2,500 of the most qualified showrooms in 104 countries worldwide.
Gunni & Trentino is an official distributor of Cattelan Italia.
