Gunni & Trentino is an official distributor of the prestigious Dutch brand Moooi. Founded by Marcel Wanders, this company maintains its innovative spirit in its collections of home designer furniture and lighting.
The furniture of this brand is designed by, among others, Jaime Hayón, Ron Gilad, Jasper Morrison, Studio Job, Neri&Hu, Front, or Lorenza Bozzoli. Despite its youth, Moooi already has iconic pieces, such as the “Horse” floor lamp or the “Dear Ingo” ceiling lamp, designed using multiple connected desk lamps. The new collections do not disappoint. The “Bucket” lamp, the Delft series of home accessories, including vases, bowls, and pieces of tableware, which revisit the tradition of Dutch porcelain with the brand’s typical ironic touch.
The Moooi rug collection left no one indifferent at the Milan Fair in 2016. On one hand, because of its completely contemporary and original designs, and on the other hand, because it offers customers the possibility to customize the designs by choosing colors to their liking from an alternative color chart. This is something unknown until now in this area of home textiles. The brand is based on the fact that, very often, customers love a rug design but are not convinced by the colors. With this system, we propose choosing from a color chart that will completely adapt the final rug to your preferences.
The company’s first successful design products were the award-winning Light Shade Shade and Smoke Chair from 2004 by Maarten Baas, as well as the subsequent almost life-sized horse lamp by Front. Other popular products from the company include the Random, Raimond, and Heracleum lighting accessories, and the Container table. Bertjan Pot’s Utility Light has been used as a brand symbol since its debut in 2014.
Starting from 2013, the company began presenting complete interiors. The 2014 collection included padded seating with colorful prints, marble and metal tables and lighting, and solid birch and oak dining sets. Moooi’s 2015 collection includes a giant rocking horse called Arion, the Power Nap chaise longue, the Coppelia light, the Shift Chair, the Raimond Tensegrity floor lamp, and a wireless LED light grid called Space-Frame.
