Vola Design Faucets for Bathrooms
The original design of VOLA, with its sculptural lines and perfect proportions, was created 40 years ago by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and is now recognized as an icon of contemporary design.
VOLA‘s technology and manufacturing are unique, with an unparalleled level of quality, control, and comfort.
Despite being designed in the 1960s, the VOLA collection faithfully follows Arne Jacobsen‘s original concept and has evolved over time. When Arne Jacobsen won the prize for the project of the National Bank of Denmark, Verner Overgaard, owner of the VOLA company, found in the architect the best collaborator to develop an innovative faucet project, based on his technical idea of embedding the pipes and batteries, leaving the controls and outlets exposed. For his part, Jacobsen saw the potential of the new product through the ethical relationship with his own design.
Due to its exceptional design, VOLA won its first award, the ID award in 1969. VOLA has also been selected to be exhibited in the most prestigious museums: Museum of Modern Art in New York, Kunstgewerbemuseum (Cologne), Cincinnati Museum of Modern Art, Neue Sammlung (Munich), among others.
Over the more than 35 years of production, VOLA has undergone significant technical transformations, but Arne Jacobsen‘s design has managed to endure over time.
